Terms of use

1. What this is

Sleeping Beauty is an internal tool operated by the company for its own staff. It records attendance at the daily team call and presents it as a light-hearted leaderboard. It is not a public service and is not open to registration by anyone outside the organisation.

2. Who may use it

Access is limited to current staff signing in with a company account, plus any address an administrator has explicitly invited. Accounts are created on first sign-in. Administrators may deactivate an account at any time, including when someone leaves the company.

3. It is not a performance record

Points recorded here are a social game. They are not a performance metric, are not part of any formal review, and must not be used to justify any employment decision. Nothing on this site carries a financial penalty or reward.

4. Conduct

The site includes features where staff write about one another — excuses, votes, nicknames and automatically drafted commentary. All of it is subject to the same standards of conduct as any other workplace channel. Content that would not be acceptable in a company meeting is not acceptable here. Administrators review automatically generated commentary before it is published anywhere.

5. Accuracy and disputes

Records are kept append-only: an entry that is withdrawn is marked void with a reason rather than removed. If you believe a point is wrong, you can contest it from your own page. An administrator rules on it and the ruling is visible.

6. Availability

The service is provided as-is for internal use. It may be changed, paused or withdrawn at any time, and no guarantee is made about uptime or data retention beyond ordinary operational care.

7. Questions

Raise anything about these terms, or about how the site is being used, with the administrator who operates it.
